Outer Banks Fishing Report - December 2007Dec
28 We booked a last minute charter last night, and it turned out to be a really nice day on the water.
We caught a variety of tunas, including half a dozen blackfins, one yellowfin, two bluefins (45 and 71 pounds), and a scattered false albacore. We even thre a nice wahoo in to boot! Sushi tonight! ![]() ![]() Dec
11 The seas were calm, and the fishing was good, everything was fine except the fog.
Another day of catching kings for the market. We caught 1350 pounds today, and made it home safe in spite of the ''pea soup'' foggy conditions. I snapped this shot of a trawler as the sun rose behind him this morning. It looked like a nice shot. Enjoy! ![]() ![]() Dec
10 Another day of kingfishing, and good luck.
We knocked off a little earlier today, my crew and myself were ready to get in and cleaned up before dark. We did catch 1400 pounds of kings to put on the commercial market for the day, just the same. It was a little breezier, but still another t-shirt day in Hatteras! ![]() Dec
9 We commercial fished today, and what a gorgeous day to be on the water.
The kings bit pretty good, we wound up with 1700 pounds for the day. Jon boy is helping me out this week, so between him and Brian, I have no excuses! This picture is of a sunset, not a sunrise. We fished till dark. Oh, last line in the water caught us a wahoo. He's going on the grill! ![]() ![]() Fishing Blog Archive
