Outer Banks Fishing ReportMay
30 It was another beautiful day for a Hatteras offshore fishing trip. Calm seas and good action.
Ok, you know how I love to see kids catching fish. Today was a load of fun. My two new friends Brandon and Cameron, 10 and 11, had a great day of action. We started with a good school of dolphin, which was highlighted with a 20+ pounder caught by Cameron. Dolphin fishing wasn't as crazy as it has been, but we still managed to catch our limit in a few stops. More bailers for us today, but still a handful of gaffers mixed in. We trolled around in the deep hoping for a big bite of some kind, and we finally found a sailfish for Brandon. It was a perfect team effort as Cameron cranked the shortrigger out of the way so Justin could make the switch. Brandon did a great job of keeping the line tight, and the fish was caught and released successfully. Thanks Tommy, for bringing the gang, and I look forward to seeing you again! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fishing Blog Archive
