Outer Banks Fishing ReportAug
11 Fishing was great today, we had a variety of species to catch.
As soon as we set our lines out, we hooked and lost one out of two sailfish, so I didn't know if we were off to a good start or a bad start! We messed around a color change for a couple of hours, long enough to find a few schools of dolphin, and catch half a limit. We decided to pursue something bigger, and found ourselves in a good area for wahoo action. When the smoke cleared, we had landed four out of eight wahoos. The next bout of action was a trippleheader sailfish, this time we had two on for a pretty long while, and managed to successfully land and release one. Somewhere in the mix we caught two king mackerels as well, but I can't remember when! Great fishing! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fishing Blog Archive
