Outer Banks Fishing ReportAug
1 Things slacked back off for the most part, but we did have some pretty decent sailfish action for a change.
Our first two bites of the day were sails, a doubleheader, and we caught them both. Heck of a way to start out. After that, the bites were few and far between. We released a barracuda, missed a wahoo, jumped off another sailfish, caught a small gaffer dolphin, missed a mystery bite, and missed another sail. That is really some pretty good action, except spread out over seven hours of trolling, it seemed a little spotty. There was a very scattered wahoo, and a few other dolphins caught in the fleet, but overall, quite a bit slower. You know the deal, just wait, things will change! ![]() ![]() ![]() Fishing Blog Archive
