Outer Banks Fishing ReportMay
16 Fishing was ''off the hook'' today. All the big dolphin you wanted.
I think we invented a new X-games sport today. We were using our TLD's and bailing rods to catch gaffer dolphin, ranging from 8 to 30 pounds. That in itself was a challenge, but throw in the ''extreme sea'' factor, and you had yourself something to write home about. In the morning, the ocean was just moderately rough, but some squalls moved through, the southwest wind breezed up into the upper 20s, and the current began to fall out as I worked down the beach. All of this contributed to a building swell and deteriorating sea conditions. Fortunately, the fish were numerous and hungry! We caught a great catch of big dolphin, and headed in a little early. Lookin' for more tomorrow!<scri ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fishing Blog Archive
