It was a scorcher today, and the fishing hadn't cooled off much either.
We started off bailing some
dolphin around some patches of grass in 70 fathoms, but for the ammount of grass, the
dolphins weren't very cooperative. We gave up after 25. It was a short troll to the hundred, and it wasn't long till we had a crack at a
white marlin, which we successfully landed and released. There were a few billfish bites around, but after a couple hours with no action on our boat, they were getting a little antsy. I worked back inshore and found a beautiful school of dolphin, and we finished up on our limit. We didn't have any other trolling bites, but there was a scattered
wahoo around, better to the south.
