Outer Banks Fishing ReportJul
9 After two last minute cancelations, resulting in us missing Friday and Saturday, it was good to get back on the water.
We started out this morning catching a handful of dolphin, and then steamed offshore to spend the day looking for a marlin. That was fine until the sky to the southwest started getting dark, and my radar showed some thunderstorms working our way. I trolled back inshore to avoid the squalls, and in the afternoon we wound up finding a few schools of dolphin and catching a nice mess of bailers. There were a few wahoo bites, and one boat caught a pair of white marlin, but the dolphin fishing was the main action today. ![]() Fishing Blog Archive
