Outer Banks Fishing Report

Jun
20
Everything was normal today, just a bumpy sou'wester, but we cut it a little short due to heavy thunderstorms heading our way.

I guess you would say we had pretty good dolphin fishing this morning on a weed line, but the current was flying up the beach so fast that I didn't want to get hung up there too far on a breezing south west wind and have a terrible ride in. We moved over to the blended side of the change and trolled back down the beach the rest of the day. Not too much action though, we got one jump out of a sailfish, caught a couple nice king mackerels and had a couple other mystery bites. I was pleased with our catch of gaffer and bailer dolphin in the morning just the same.
