Outer Banks Fishing ReportMay
24 Fishing overall was good, and if we could have held on to half of our bites, we would have had another banner day.
I spent a portion of the morning scouting the deep, and once the gaffers started biting inshore, it took me a while to get back to the right spot. After that, I felt like I was playing catch-up all day, which I don't mind so much, but today we couldn't seem to hang on to many of our bites. Some of the boats had great catches of gaffers again, and a couple tunas. We wound up landing eight nice dolphin and one yellowfin. We did miss a sailfish that came to a flatline this morning in the deep. There were a few other sails caught, and one blue marlin. ![]() Fishing Blog Archive
