What a beautiful day, and it was full on war against the gaffer
dolphin.
We fished on a color change this morning, and were picking away at the gaffer
dolphin, until the color change and grass all came together, and it was on. We broke out the bailing rods, and launched an attack on the
dolphins, mostly 8 to 15 pounders, with an occasional bailer, and an occasional 20-25 pounder. When it bacame a struggle to keep them in the box, we knew we had to quit. We wound up being pretty close to a limit anyway. The rest of the day was spent trolling, and we finally caught a
yellowfin near the end of the day. there were a few tunas and
wahoos caught around the fleet, and a showing of
blue marlin to the south.<scrip
