A Few Bites

Posted By Captain Dave in Fishing | Permalink | Comments %count%
In spite of the not so favorable conditions, we made the day and had a handful of bites.

Ok. We've already established that the current is flying, and screweing things up for us. I'll let you know if that changes. Meanwhile, we headed out southeast of ther tower this morning (I wanted to head south, but the seas wouldn't allow it) and started in 50 fathoms. There were three of us out, and for a small fleet, we covered about as much ground as we could. I worked off to the hundred and had four yellowfin bites at once. We hooked three and landed two. I worked down the hundred for a while, disappointed with the results. Working off to 150 fathoms, we landed and released a 40 pound bluefin. We had a couple more yellowfin bites and landed one more for the day. The wind had picked up in the afternoon, giving us a choppy ride in, so by the time we made it to the dock, we were ready to be there!<scrip
