You've heard the saying ''any port in a storm'', well, we found safe harbor today catching big groupers off the bottom!
The morning trolling bite was a little slow, we did catch one nice
wahoo out of a couple of bites, but my group asked about trying some bottom fishing, and it was great. We caught our limit of snowy groupers, 15-20 pounders, one gag grouper, one tilefish, and possibly the most beautiful fish I have ever caught, which I was told was a long finned bass. While we were bouncing led, there was a pretty good billfish bite, a handful of
blue marlin and sails seen. I'm not disappointed with what we did though, my group had a ball and so did I!
