Outer Banks Fishing ReportOct
13 I know it's fall, cool northwest breeze, college football, but somebody forgot to tell the fish that it's not still summer!
I fished east of most of the fleet today, more to get away from the crowd than anything else. There was a scattered wahoo bite, and a pretty good showing of sails, but somehow I wound up out in the deep scrounging around in some scattered grass. We found plenty of dolphin, in fact we caught our limit, or within a couple. These were nice big bailers, and it was a barrel full! I worked back inshore in the afternoon, and got whammed by a covey of sails. When the smoke cleared, we hung on to one on a TLD, and who knows how many we pulled off on our wahoo baits. Anyway, another great day offshore. ![]() Fishing Blog Archive
