Outer Banks Fishing ReportSep
21 The weather was great, but the fishing slacked of a little. We still managed to put together a little catch though.
I think that if it stayed fall all year, it would be fine with me. I just love cool weather. Anyway, I pulled the throttle back in 30 fathoms, and we caught a nice wahoo as we were setting the lines out. Great way to start. Only problem was, we didn't have another bite till after lunch! The action picked up a little in the afternoon, and we caught another wahoo, a few nice, fall size kings, and a handful of small dolphin along a color change. There were a handful of wahoo bites scattered around the fleet, but it seemed that the catch ratio was down again today for most everyone. There were a half dozen sails caught, although we didn't see one. There were also a couple of yellowfins caught. See you tomorrow!<sc ![]() ![]() Fishing Blog Archive
