Today we had our day! The tunas cooperated, and we wound up catching our limit.

Most of the fleet headed south today, as did I, however I was on the eastern end of the southern fleet (get it?). Anyway, there was just an occasional bite at best until the couple of boats that did head up the line started getting on some fish. Fortunately I had been working up to the east and was in pretty good position. We got covered up and caught seven out of ten, and another time held four out of six or seven. A single here and a double there added up to 18 fish, and our limit for today. The size ranged from a couple of 20 pounders to a few that were 50 or better. It was a gorgeous springtime day!
