Outer Banks Fishing ReportApr
11 Another day of quality fish in the box. Not huge numbers, but beautiful tunas.
Over the years we have come up with nick names for every size of every species that we catch. Today we caught a couple of BLTs (barely legal tunas), one 50 pounder, and three buffalos (over 60). It was a beautiful day, as forcasted, and there was a pretty decent sign of fish around, but an awful lot of throw backs (under 27'' fork length). Anyway, After getting struck by the little guys a couple of times, I wandered south of the fleet, hoping to find a better class of fish. We caught a single 65 pounder, and then, an hour or so later, got covered up by the bigger tunas, and landed three more of them. Glad to be out there!<BR>Oh, this morning, I couldn't help but admire the sunrise, so I thought I would show you what a typical ride to work looks like for me!
