Outer Banks Fishing Report

Apr
28
I know it's been a while, good ol' Hatteras northeaster has had us shut down for a few days.

The last day anyone fished, the warm water had shoved way down the beach, and things had gotten a little scattered. Today was windy to say the least, but it had backed off just enough for a few boats to make a go of it, especially since tomorrow and the next day look like a wash. I discussed it with my group, and they agreed that maybe it made more sense to try it another time. Anyway, I piddled around on my boat for the morning, and after lunch I saw a boat pulling back in, so I got the scoop on the conditions. He reported that the water had pushed back up the line, and that they caught a limit of tunas much closer to home than where they had gotten. He also said that there were a lot of wahoo bites. It should be rockin' after this blow. See ya in a couple of days.
