Outer Banks Fishing Report

Apr
23
The forcast was right on, it was a gorgeous day, and fishing was pretty good too.

The ride out was a little swelly, left over from yesterday's blow, but once we set out, it just got nicer as the day went on. Everybody fished to the south, some further than others. The southern most boats did the best on the tunas, and the boats that arrived late missed out. I happened to be in the missed out bunch today. We caught a handful of throw backs, and a couple of keepers as we worked down the beach, but once the fleet got together, the fish pretty much shut off. One boat located some kings a few miles inshore of the tuna fleet, so we jogged in and hammered the kings for about 30 minutes, until we had our limit. I've got a couple of days off unless something happens, so keep checking in.
