Outer Banks Fishing ReportDec
14 Other than the fog, it was a beautiful day, and the fishing was great.
When I got to the dock this morning, the winds were light, but the fog had set in. We milled around for a while till it looked like it was gonna lift, and we shot out of there. It set back in right after we cleared the inlet, but it was fairly clear where we were, and for the ride out. Most of the day, the fog stayed inshore, but after lunch, it moved out to where we were, and it was a good situation to have a good radar. The mackerels bit good, and it was steady all day. We wound up with 2,100 pounds on the market for the day. There was a sign of bluefins inshore, I heard of one fish caught, but several encounters. The afternoon only got foggier, and by the time we were packed out and cleaned up, I was ready to get home. ![]() Fishing Blog Archive
